An 88321 becomes an 88323 when additional services (e.g. additional immunohistochemistry, ISH, molecular, histochemistry study interpretation) are needed beyond what was initially submitted on the case. Select those further below.

* attach ‘sticky note flags’ on page edges for emphasis;

* print out (one sided) the same patient history multiple times from the EMR;

* use a roll of tape for external packaging or lashing together slide holders;

* do not use foam or tissue to protect slides in the slide containers (received shattered);

* put slides in a completely random order;

* call the day after sending the case for a status update or to return materials;

* send all of the blocks when only one may be needed…
